SaaSam celebrates 10 years!

Heather McEwen discovered Agiloft (then EnterpriseWizard) in early 2011.

After a trip to San Francisco to meet the Agiloft team, the then CEO, Colin Earl, offered Heather a resellership for New Zealand. The following week she became an official partner and formed SaaSam!

"It has taken 10 years to become the success we now are and there have definitely been some highs and lows along the way. The numbers say some 96% of companies fail within 10 years, so we are very pleased to have survived during this period," says Heather.

With hundreds of Agiloft implementations under our belt, the SaaSam team now numbers 24, with staff spread across the world in offices in Auckland, Cambridge (NZ), Sydney, London and San Jose.

Heather is perhaps most proud of the fact that SaaSam has thrived in a male-dominated IT industry and she has been able to support many other females along the way. It is rare for technology companies to be headed by a woman, let alone for them to have more female staff than male – 13 of the 24 SaaSam team and 5 out of the 7 management team are women.

But it really doesn’t matter for Heather what sex you are, what nationality you are, or what/who you worship: "The only thing that matters is a great attitude towards each other and our customers and suppliers, integrity and a willingness to constantly learn," she asserts.

"We are looking forward to the next 10 years and what we can achieve."
